about

Hard as hell and soft as cotton. At the same time. Ironville are standing on the tip of their toes creating extrovert music for introvert listeners. More of everything. Accordion and trumpets. Strings and choirs. Singing birds and broken promises.

Open your mouth wide and sing! Fill up your iPod and run as far as your legs can carry you. Or as far as you can get in 27 minutes.

On december 2nd, 2009, seven man strong Ironville will release their album debut.

”Welcome to Ironville” is released on their own label Hare Tracks with distribution by Playground Music.

The album is produced by Ironville and renowned Swedish singer/songwriter/producer Markus Krunegård.

Recordings were made in Studio Cobra with Martin Ehrencrona (Konie & I Are Droid) as sound engineer. The album is mastered by Andreas Tilliander.

Ironville are Olivia, Emelie, Henrik, Joel, August, Marit and Samuel. One half of the band come from Norrland in the northern parts of Sweden, and the other half originate from Stockholm.

The song ”Roses” is the band's first single. Both the song and the video for the song, got attention from several music blogs. ”Roses” was also named one of the best songs of 2008 by Swedish Radio show P3 Lab and was frequently played on Swedish Radio P3 Svea
